Will resale cannibalize my full-price sales?
It’s the classic fear, and the loop is built to prevent exactly that. Sellers are paid in store credit that can only be spent with you, so the value never leaves. And a pre-owned item often reaches a customer who’d never have bought at full price.
Who sets the prices?
You do. The condition scale suggests a price, and your team approves or adjusts every amount, item by item. Nothing is ever discounted automatically.
How does shipping work?
When a customer submits an item, a prepaid Mondial Relay label is generated and sent to them. The parcel arrives at your door and your team inspects it. If an item doesn’t pass, it goes straight back with a return label and no credit is issued.
Is this only for clothing?
No. The loop works for any product that holds its value after the first sale: fashion and accessories, leather goods, sport and outdoor gear, baby gear, consumer tech. The one real constraint is logistical: the item has to ship as a parcel. Your team sets the conditions and the price scale category by category, inside your own Shopify catalog.
Is it compatible with my store?
SmartResell is a native Shopify app that works on standard plans. You turn the blocks on from your theme editor, no code required, and they pick up your existing styles.
Is this a loyalty program?
